HI, WE’RE THE PRIMP
Many of our friends have tried to start blogs and turn them into profitable businesses over the years. They all start by saying, to quote Elle Woods, “What, like it’s hard?“. Getting into Harvard Law might have not been challenging for the heroine of the Legally Blonde movies, but growing a creative business from scratch and turning it into a profitable enterprise? It’s not easy. We wish we could tell you there weren’t late nights, hysterical tears at a FedEx counter, weeks without orders, industry contacts you wish you didn’t have to talk to, trolls to deal with or empty bank accounts to worry about. We can’t.
But we can tell you that we see so many good ideas that have only not seen to fruition because of a lack of relevant support, resources, and experience. We’ve seen women of diverse viewpoints and backgrounds excluded from campaigns and opportunities. We’ve seen women throw away thousands of dollars on tools whose only value is to their increasing credit card debt. We, as a community, are missing out on so many ideas which never get their chance.
